Albert Leary Rhodes, 74, of Elizabeth City, died July 28, 2022 at home. He was born in Columbia on May 10, 1948 to the late Royce Leslie Rhodes and Anna Voliva Williamson. Al served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps

Survivors include wife Joy Ann Beals Rhodes, daughters Trista Bogardus (Peter) and Chrissy Forbes (Stevie); brothers John Bradley Rhodes (Mali) and Raymond Seagroves; sisters-in-law Judith Johnson, Tighe Simons (Linda) and Debbie Beals; brother-in-law Daniel Beals (Sue); five grandchildren and other family. He was predeceased by brother Ryan Rhodes; in-laws Woodrow and Ann Jennette Beals and brothers-in-law Kenneth Beals and Elwood Johnson.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on July 31 at First Christian Church in Elizabeth City with burial to follow in New Hollywood Cemetery with full military honors.  Twiford Funeral Homes is serving the family. www.TwifordFH.com
