Carl Harris Daniel Jr., 84, of Kill Devil Hills, died August 7, 2022 in Norfolk, Va. Carl was born January 25, 1938 in Raleigh. He was the son of the late Carl Harris Daniel Sr. and Mildred (Morris) Daniel.

Harris joined the United States Army after high school, becoming a member of the famous 82^nd Airborne in Ft Bragg.

He and the love of his life, Phyllis L. (Bennett) Daniel married August 8, 1988. They resided happily together in the Outer Banks NC since 2001. Harris was a member of Colington United Methodist Church.

Survivors include wife Phyllis L. (Bennett) Daniel, children Tammy Daniel, Katie Campbell, Betty King and Jeff Bennett; six grandchildren, siblings Barbara Daniel and Jerry Daniel and 10 great-grandchildren.
