James Leslie “Les” Swain, 45, died August 19, 2022 at Sentara hospital after a year-long fight of complications of his accident.

Survivors include Marilyn Henderson, mother Virginia Swain, siblings Tom Slaughter (Mary), Cindy Harrell (Terri), Deborah Swain and Tim Swain (Stephanie) and other family.

He was predeceased by father James Sam Swain.

Celebration of life is pending. The family requests no flowers or donations at this time. A memorial scholarship fund will be set up in his honor. His family suggests that everyone that loved him celebrate him in any way that they deem appropriate.
