Doris Neola Griswell Waiters died September 19, 2022 at Inspire Nursing Home in Washington, DC. She was born in Columbia on March 14, 1928 to Herman Leslie and Mary Caldonia (Lewis) Griswell .

She was predeceased by husband Willie Waiters,  three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include brother Erskine Griswell (Helena), sister Vera Brown, bother-in-Law Edison Towe Jr. of Plymouth and a host of nieces and nephews.
