Roanoke Island Garden Club meets Thursday to work on wreaths

The Roanoke Island Garden Club (RIGC) will meet Thursday, November 3 at the Maritime Boat Museum in downtown Manteo. Refreshments will be served at 12:30 p.m., followed by a short business meeting and workshop.

Members will be working on wreaths for the town’s annual wreath decorating contest. Last year’s decorations will be removed, wreaths refreshed and distributed to businesses participating in this year’s contest. Once decorated, wreaths are to be delivered to Manteo Town Hall for judging.

Club members are asked to bring gloves and wire cutters to the workshop.

Get the latest headlines sent to you

Plans for decorating downtown Manteo beginning November 26 will also be discussed.
