The North Banks Rotary Club (NBRC) will host its 31st Annual LobsterFest at Shipwreck’s Taphouse & Grill on Friday, November 18 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This event, with community support, raised $10,000 last year, which was awarded to local grant recipients. The club is hoping to have an even larger turnout this year.

Nick Graham, NBRC president, said the civic organization is excited to host this major fundraiser at Shipwreck’s this year, a change from their long-time run at Mako’s. “It’s been really good the past couple of years,” Graham shared, “and even throughout COVID we were able to have good turnout after switching to to-go and drive-through service. We’re hoping to keep it going this year.”

Patrons may choose either a lobster (1.5 lbs.) with drawn butter or a prime rib meal served with a cup of Hatteras clam chowder, boiled potatoes, dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. Dine-in or pickup options will be available. Tickets are $45 per person and will benefit local non-profits. The club will be offering meals both Thursday (Nov. 17) and Saturday (Nov. 19) as well, as long as supplies last, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, visit the NBRC Facebook page or the club’s website at www.northbanksrotary.com.
