Gene T. Ballance

Gene Tunney Ballance, 96, of Fairfield, died February 24, 2023 at The Carrolton of Plymouth.

Gene was born in Hyde County on November 21, 1926. He was a WWII veteran serving his country while enlisted in the United States Navy.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on March 2 at the family plot in Fairfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department.
