UPDATE – Wednesday, March 15, 9:29 a.m. from the Southern Shores Police Department: “Mr. Rose has been found in Henrico County Virginia and is safe. Thank you to the Virginia State Police and Henrico County Police for their assistance in locating Mr. Rose. We would also like to thank the public and news media for spreading the word.”
The Southern Shores Police Department reported late Tuesday night, March 14, 2023, that it is searching for Jerry Edwin Rose after he was reported missing. A Silver Alert has been issued.
Rose was last seen in the area of Wax Myrtle Trail in Southern Shores and is suffering from dementia and needs medical attention, according to SSPD.
Rose, 76, is a white male, 5’10” tall, 155 pounds and balding. He was last seen wearing a grey jacket, blue sweatpants and black sneakers with a yellow stripe. He was driving a 2003 Silver Toyota Corolla with North Carolina registration OBX87049 with damage to the right side ground effects. Rose could be headed to Virginia; a credit card was last used in Moyock, according to the Silver Alert.
