Benefit dinner set for Equils family

The Swan Quarter Volunteer Fire Department will host a benefit lunch at the station, located at 25 Oyster Creek Road in Swan Quarter, for the Stanley and Jennifer Equils family on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 11 a.m. until all the food is gone.

Baked ham, potato salad, green beans, roll, dessert and ice tea will be available for $12 per plate with all net proceeds going to help the family offset high expenses due to Stanley’s recent hospitalizations.

Those unable to attend in person who would still like to help may send donation checks made out to the SQVFD w/memo “Equils Family Benefit” to SQVFD, PO Box 97, Swan Quarter, NC 27885.

“Please note that the annual Easter in the Quarter takes place across the street at the Hyde County Government Center beginning at 11 am,” stated a SQVFD press release. “Lots of free children’s activities!”
