The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island is offering week-long summer camps as well as single-day camps for 2023.
“We are excited to once again invite campers to explore the aquatic world with us here at the Aquarium!” stated a press release from NCARI. “Campers will participate in environmentally-focused camps with field trips, interactive games, outdoor adventures, behind-the-scenes experiences, crafts, STEM-related discovery stations and explore the animals that call the Aquarium home.”
Go to reservations.ncaquariums.com/roanokeisland/Info.aspx?EventID=15 to register children for these special camps.
Space is limited to 12 campers for each week-long and single-day camps. NC Aquarium Society members receive a 10% discount on all camp fees (ncaquariumsociety.com/memberships/). An optional shuttle service will be provided at no additional charge to and from summer camps (except for single-day camps), providing morning pick-up at Whalebone Park 30 minutes before camp begins and afternoon drop-off at Whalebone Park 30 minutes after camp ends. Shuttle service will run morning and afternoon every day, except on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons. Transportation will not be provided for afternoon pick-up for Animal Planet Camp.
