A young mink (Mustela vison) hunts for food on Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. Mink are also found on Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge.
They can be aggressive and territorial.
They are good swimmers and climbers and feed on small reptiles, birds, fish, insects, rabbits, amphibians, mice, snakes and crustaceans.
