Thomas B. Sumner III, 55, of Southern Shores, died June 16, 2023 at home after a recurring battle with melanoma. Tommy was born on September 12, 1967 in Raleigh.

Services will be held at Twiford Funeral Home in Manteo on July 2 at 1 p.m. for visitation and 2 p.m. for the procession and celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ducks Unlimited Outer Banks Chapter, c/o Mark Milby, 3832 Elijah Baum Rd., Kitty Hawk, NC 27949.
