Candidates for municipal elections have until noon on Friday, July 21, 2023 to file for office.

In Dare County, the following candidates have filed as of late morning on July 14:

Duck Councilman: Five seats. Incumbents Monica Thibodeau and Don Kingston.

Kill Devil Hills Mayor: John Windley.

Kill Devil Hills Commissioner: Two seats. Incumbent Ivy Ingram.

Kitty Hawk Councilman: Two seats. Incumbent David Hines. Dylan L. Tillett.

Manteo Mayor: Incumbent Bobby Owens. Sherry Butcher Wickstrom.

Manteo Commissioner: Three seats. Incumbents Tod Clissold, Darrell M. Collins and Betty Govan Selby. Michele Estelle Lewis and Hannah McOwen Forslund.

Nags Head: Commissioner: Two seats. Incumbent Kevin Brinkley. Megan Lambert.

Southern Shores: Councilman: Three seats. Incumbents Matthew Neal and Mark Batenic. Robert E. Neilson.
