Michael Garber passed away peacefully in Atlanta Ga. On July 14. He was 77 years old.

Michael and his wife Susan resided in Manteo for 25 years and were the owners of Muzzies Antiques in downtown. They retired in 2019 and relocated to Atlanta, Ga.

Michael was born in Alexandria, Va. and was the son of the late Galen Garber and MaryEtta Garber. He graduated in 1964 from Gar-Field High School where he was an all-state football and baseball player. He graduated from Wesley College in Dover Delaware where he played varsity baseball and was the Student Body President. Upon graduation Michael attended Randolph-Macon College where he received a BA degree in English and History.

An avid fisherman and golfer, Mike was best known for his landscaping and roses. His garden appeared in Southern Living and the Virginian Pilot. Survived by his wife Susan, his childhood sweetheart.
