Date set for annual Guardian Golf Tournament

The Outer Banks Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla will hold its 4th Annual Guardian Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 23 at the Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk.

“Join us for a festive day of golf and camaraderie with Coast Guard resources representing the many commands in our local area,” noted the tournament announcement. “Foursomes are available for $400 which includes golf, breakfast, lunch and all beverages. Hole sponsorships are also available for $300.”

This event will benefit Coast Guard Mutual Assistance in the local district. CGMA is a non-profit charitable organization working closely with local Coast Guard commands to promote the financial stability and general well-being of Coast Guard people through interest-free loans, grants and financial counseling.

“The Title Sponsor for this year’s event is TowneBank and we expect them to be joined by several other generous sponsors including City Beverage, Fairlead, Marine Sonic Technology, Hampton Rubber Co. and Dunkin’ Donuts,” stated the announcement. “The tournament will raise over $10,000 with 100% of the net proceeds going to CGMA for use in our local Coast Guard District 5.”
