Ashley Taylor, staff nurse IV in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, has been named Employee of the Month for July 2023 at Outer Banks Health.

Taylor joined Outer Banks Health in May 2021. Since then, she has consistently displayed compassion, integrity, optimism, teamwork and safety, noted the announcement of her recognition.

“She develops a caring relationship with each patient, paying special attention to both medical and emotional needs as they make progress after a significant medical event,” stated the Outer Banks Health announcement. “Ashley exhibits openness and sincerity in her communication style with all patients, team members and our referral partners. She is dedicated in her role and shows confidence with her knowledge to take care of the patients.”

Taylor evaluates each patient thoroughly, using appropriate clinical guidelines and best practices coupled with her cardiology nursing experience, the announcement continued.

“Ashley is a joy to work with. She brings a warm smile with her every day to work. She shows patience, reliability, and accountability when working with patients alongside her team,” stated Outer Banks Health. “Since joining the organization, she brings great patient-focused ideas to the table, provides much-needed support for her team members, and is open to change and recommendations from other team members.  She is a vital piece of the puzzle to ensure all runs smoothly within the department.”
