Wildon Burton Forbes, of Elizabeth City, died August 26, 2023 at home. He was born in Elizabeth City on September 22, 1932. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

A funeral will take place at 2 p.m. on August 31 at Twiford Memorial Chapel; private burial will take place at West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held August 30 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel.
