Homecoming celebrated at Clarks Bethel

- At Homecoming at Clarks Bethel Methodist Church in Salvo, the congregation recognized six members for faithful service. Clarks Bethel Methodist Church in Salvo celebrated Homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 8.
Current Pastor Tim Fitch presided over the service. Rev. Dr. Susanna Fitch-Slater, former pastor at Clarks Bethel, offered the message.
Special singing was provided by Mrs. Alberta Cox as well as by Mrs. Elsie Hooper and her daughter, Mrs. Bertie K. Midgett. The church also recognized and presented certificates to the following members for their faithful service:
Mr. Earl Whidbee, director of music, 81 years of membership.
Mrs. Jean Hooper, 65 years of membership.
Mrs. Dean Bruce, 65 years of membership.
Mrs. Elsie Hooper, 18 years of membership.
Mrs. Bertie K. Midgett, 18 years of membership.
Mrs. Andrea Schultz, who was absent, celebrated 34 years of membership.
Clarks Bethel was founded in 1886.
