Shirley Joleen Meekins, 79, died in Lakeland, Fla. on October 16, 2023. She was born in Texas on February 15, 1944.

Services were held October 20 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel. Shirley will be laid to rest at Hooper Cemetery in Avon.
