Veterans Day ceremony set in Southern Shores

Planning is well underway for the Knights of Columbus Assembly 2989 and Town of Southern Shores 2023 Veterans Day Ceremony.
The ceremony will take place November 11 at 11 a.m. at the Southern Shores TownHallFlagpolePavilion.
Anthony Lloyd, CAPT, USCG (ret.) will be the ceremony speaker. Captain Lloyd attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, receiving a bachelor’s in government and commissioned as an ensign on May 18, 1988. He served for 30 years, retiring as a captain in the summer of 2018.
The ceremony is open to the public.
