Roanoke Island Garden Club to meet Nov. 2

The Roanoke Island Garden Club will meet Thursday, November 2 at the Maritime Boat Museum in downtown Manteo.
Members are asked to arrive early at 11 a.m. with garden gloves, wire cutters and pruning shears to prepare wreaths and garland to be used by the club for downtown holiday decorating on November 25.
Wreaths will be distributed to businesses participating in the Christmas wreath decorating contest, an event the club and the Town of Manteo sponsor annually. Following the prepping, refreshments will be served and there will be a short business meeting.
The public is invited to join in the fun.
