Currituck County 4-H is hosting a wildlife program for youth ages 5-7 years old on January 26, 2024 from 9 a.m. to noon. Join us as we learn all about our native birds, and how we can help them through the winter months when their food sources may be low. Providing birds with feeding stations provides needed nutrition at a time when it is often scarce and has the added benefit of drawing birds to your yard for observation. Participants will make healthy snacks for the birds as well as snacks for themselves. Participating youth will expand their knowledge of birds and habitats, and how they can positively impact the environment.
Space is limited. The registration deadline is January 22, 2024, so reserve your child’s spot by going to: winterwildlife-birds2024.eventbrite.com. There is an $8 registration fee. This may be paid online through Eventbrite or you may pay with cash or check. Cash and check payments need to be paid within five days of your registration. If you are paying by check please make it payable to NCSU, and mail it to NCCE, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917. All participants must also be enrolled in 4-H Online for the 2023 program year; the link to that portion of the registration process v2.4honline.com.
If you need accommodations for persons with disabilities, please contact Stephanie Minton at 252-232-2262 or by email at stephanie_minton@ncsu.edu no later than 10 business days prior to class.
