It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Billy Joe Sorey, who peacefully left this world at his home on 127 Inlet Lane, Grandy, NC, on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Woodrow Sorey Sr. and Anna Mae Sorey; a sister, Lenna Marie Ownley; and a brother, John Wesley Sorey. He is survived and cherished by Leslie Sorey Jr. (Linda), Nancy McKeel, Faye Riggs (Bill), Gail Lovelace, David Sorey, Edith Maready, and Joanne Eaves (Frankie). Billy also leaves behind a legacy of love, remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Special thanks are extended to Scott and Brian Grandy for their unwavering love, care, and dedication to Bill over the year.
