Have you always wanted to learn to sew? If so we have just the group for you! The Currituck County 4-H program is pleased to announce that a new 4-H club is being organized for youth ages 8 and up. This will be a beginners sewing group focused on the basics of hand and machine sewing. The initial meeting for this group will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at the Currituck Extension Center on 120 Community Way in Barco. Subsequent club meetings will be on the second Tuesday of each month (2/13, 3/12, 4/9 and 5/14).
Information will be provided to parents and youth on 4-H club membership and club operations, procedures for joining this club, discussion on potential sewing projects, dates and times for club meetings and much more. This club will have a limited number of spaces available.
If this is the club for your child, please register for this informational meeting at currituck4HSewingClub.eventbrite.com.
Membership in 4-H is free and open to all youth between the ages of 5 and 19. For more information on this or other 4-H Club opportunities, contact Sherry Fischlschweiger at 252-232-2262 or sherry_fischlschweiger@ncsu.edu.
