January 2, 2024 saw the birth of the Outer Banks area’s New Year’s baby, Nolan Leibowitz, who was born at 8:13 a.m. at Outer Banks Health Hospital.
Nolan, who weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and measured 21 inches long at birth, is the third child of Andreia and Scott Leibowitz of Colington Harbour. Nolan joins two older brothers: Dylan (10) and Miles (8), who both attend First Flight Elementary School.
The Leibowitz family arrived at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. and shortly thereafter, Nolan made his world debut. The parents expressed their appreciation for the care they received. “The whole team was amazing, and the nurses were phenomenal,” said Andreia. “Oh, and especially Dr. Dwyer, who got down on his knee to be on my level when he reassured me that everything would be fine.”
“As the first baby born on the Outer Banks in 2024, Nolan holds a special place in the hearts of the community, symbolizing hope and new beginnings,” stated the announcement from Outer Banks Health. “Welcome to the world, baby Nolan. May your horizons be filled with health and happiness.”
