Colington – My daddy, Norman C. Edwards, 96 born in 1927 in Stokes, N.C. (formerly of Hampton, VA) was called home by The Lord, Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his home in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Daddy was surrounded by family.

After serving in the Navy June 11, 1944 through May 21, 1946 Norman was honorably discharged. He retired from The Newport News Shipbuilding after 42 consecutive years as a general foreman in departments X 31 and X 01.

Norman is survived by his daughter, Carol E. Darrah; his grandson, William E. Lawson IV; one sister, Geraldine Robbins; two brothers, David (wife, Patty) and Ronnie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita; son, Donnie; grandson Donnie Jr.; parents, Lee and Lina; sisters, Lillie, Ruby, and Edna; and brothers, Lee Jr., and Kermit.
