Arrest made in connection with multiple Elizabeth City breaking and entering incidents

The Elizabeth City Police Department has reported on an arrest made in connection with multiple breaking and entering incidents.

According to an ECPD news release, on January 2, 2024, ECPD arrested Travis James Outland for felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, and felony possession of stolen goods.

Outland was processed without incident at the magistrate’s office and was later transported to Albemarle District Jail with a $10,000 secure bond. His first court appearance was January 4 at Pasquotank County District Court.

In mid-November of 2023, ECPD investigated numerous breaking and entering incidents in the Church Street area. “Mr. Outland will be facing additional charges in the coming days as the investigation into these crimes continue,” noted the release.

This is an ongoing investigation and ECPD urges anyone with additional information about these crimes to contact the Elizabeth City Police Department at 252-335-4321 or the Crime Line at 252-335-5555. “All information received will remain anonymous and strictly confidential,” stated the release.
