The OBYSA league offers recreational level soccer practices and games for youth in kindergarten through eighth grade. All games and practices are held at Satterfield Landing soccer fields in Nags Head. The cost to register is $40 for the season, which includes a player jersey.

In addition to OBYSA registering players, coaches and referees for the season are also being sought. Coaches may register through the website. Interested referees are asked to email obysaleague@gmail.com for more information.

Those interested in sponsoring a team can submit information on OBYSA.com. The Outer Banks Youth Soccer Association is a 501c3 non-profit and all sponsorships and donations are tax deductible.

The OBYSA Board has shared that it has joined forces with OBX Storm, “which will allow for a wholesome approach to soccer on the Outer Banks,” noted an OBYSA news release. “Players will continue to have the option to play recreational soccer with a direct connection for additional competitive opportunities, if desired. The OBX Storm Board of Directors will be responsible for running the day-to-day activities of OBYSA. With this announcement, OBX Storm would like to thank Diane Bognich and Maggie Dawson for their many years of service to OBYSA and to the youth on the Outer Banks. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.”

Registration will be open for players through February 2 or until the age group is full. The season will begin in March and will run through May.
