The 2024 Town of Manteo Board of Commissioners meetings have been scheduled.

The Manteo Board of Commissioners meets on the first Wednesday of each month, unless changed. A recessed meeting is held on the third Wednesday of each month. The meeting time is 6 p.m. The meeting dates are:

Jan. 3, Jan. 17

Feb. 7, Feb. 21

March 6, March 20

April 3, April 17

May 1, May 15

June 5, June 19 (Juneteenth)

July 3, July 17

Aug. 7, Aug. 21

Sept. 4, Sept. 18

Oct.2, Oct.16

Nov.6, Nov. 20

Dec. 4, Dec.18

The April 3 meeting falls during the week of Dare County Schools spring break.

The July 3 is the meeting before July 4. Staff recommends consideration of rescheduling this meeting to a different date.

Traditionally, the commissioners do not have the August mid-month meeting due to the town’s observance of Virginia Dare’s birthday on August 18.
