Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

By Betsy Ore Glass

The apostle Paul tells us to “be kind to one another.” Peter says to “add brotherly kindness” to the other godly virtues God is developing in us. 2 Corinthians 6:3-6

Yes I think there is a song out there with the words of todays’ message. What is kindness? Webster’s says it is the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate. But spiritually, kindness reflects the heart of God. Showing brotherly love is something Believers want to do. We know it is important because it is important to God.

I have been put in many situations almost every day this week … whether to show kindness or look the other way. I chose kindness. Things such as holding the elevator door for a wheelchair- bound person. Giving someone directions. Picking up something that someone dropped. Giving my grocery cart to someone who needed it more. Buying lunch for a struggling man at the cafe. Very small gestures on my part. Small things can make a huge difference. God gives us the eyes to see, the heart to feel and the ability to show warm-heartedness. Think of it this way … wake up and ask God “what can I do to be of service to you.” I promise opportunities will present themselves. God bless.
