Brian “BB” Wise, a lifelong resident of Kitty Hawk, NC, passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on May 7, 1957, Brian was a devoted husband of 39 years to Rosie Wise and a loving father to Tiffany (Matt), Cortney (Josh), Melissa (Mike), and Fabian. He adored his grandchildren – Malia, Everly, Esmond, Brian, Caiden, London, and Kirsten. He is survived by his brother Roy Wise (Kari) of TX, his nephew Oran Wise, numerous cousins, and many friends.

Preceded in death by his parents John “Sonny” and Robanna Wise, and his brother Wally Wise.

Brian was a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Known for his selflessness and unwavering love, Brian was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Brian, who recently overcame cancer and was cancer-free, and eagerly anticipating returning to the joys of life. Brian’s kindness and willingness to help others knew no bounds. He cherished his loved ones deeply and had a special bond with each one.

His family is devastated by his sudden departure, but his absence will be deeply felt, especially at his annual birthday cookouts where he showcased his talent for grilling brisket.

Even in his physical absence, his spirit will forever watch over his family. His legacy of love, generosity, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Friends and family viewing was held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Gallop Funeral Services Nags Head chapel. The funeral will be held the following morning – Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 10 a.m., also at the Nags Head chapel. Colleen Myers will officiate. Interment will follow the funeral at Austin Cemetery in Kitty Hawk, NC.
