Mr. Couch and Commissioners,

As the representative for the oldest civic/support organization associated with Hatteras Island for over 30 plus years in preservation and Beach Access, I speak for our membership of 4000 members from 50 States and Canada, related to the above styled disaster. I have been a life-long visitor, and now a part-time resident of Hatteras Island (Buxton) since the late 1950’s.

Let this writing be known for the record as [our] unwavering support for your efforts to demand and pursuit total remediation of the above styled Hazmat situation in Buxton, NC. We adjoin all efforts to mitigate this environmental catastrophe and stand ready to support whatever is required.

I trust the Federal Government will partner with us to bring this to an immediate satisfactory resolution in total clean-up of this site left behind long ago by DOD.

Please reach out to me as the point of contact for whatever you feel we can do to help as this project proceeds. I am available to your Board by phone call or email. I am retired and available to travel as may be necessary. Thanking you for your attention in this matter, I am,
Sincerely,
Bill King
Bill King, Director #1467
