Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation to hold St. Patrick’s Day brunch

The Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation will hold a St. Patrick’s Day brunch on March 17 at the Hatteras Marlin Club, located at 57174 Saxon Cut Drive in Hatteras, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

“There will be a fabulous brunch, live music by Rory, mimosas, beer, a bloody Mary bar (BYOVodka), non-alcoholic beverages, a selfie station by Let’s Take a Selfie, a wine pull, and raffles,” noted the event announcement.

Tickets are $40 per person and are available from HICF board members and at Beach Pharmacy locations in Hatteras and Avon. The number of tickets available is limited and must be purchased ahead of time; no tickets will be available at the door. Attendees must be 21.

The Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation, an all-volunteer non-profit organization, supports cancer patients and their families living on Hatteras Island. Founded in December 2000, the foundation’s primary goal is to raise funds to provide financial assistance for medical bills, prescriptions and travel expenses. To date, the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation has assisted more than 233 islanders with cancer and their families with grants in excess of $1,000,000.
