Charles Marshall Griffin (Charlie, also known as “Grif”), 62, of Nags Head, died March 4, 2024 due to a boating accident in Oregon Inlet. Charlie was born April 4, 1961 in Nürnberg, Germany.

Combined celebration of the lives of Charlie and Chad Dunn will be held April 28 between 1 and 5 p.m. at the Pavilion at Pirate’s Cove Marina. All are welcome and encouraged to bring a picture and/or story to share. Immediately following, there will be a ceremonial send-off to sea on the beach located at Jennette’s Pier.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests your support in establishing a jetty project for Oregon Inlet.
