The Outer Banks Health Development Council has announced the return of the first formal gala event since 2020.
On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the Painting the Outer Banks Blue Gala will take place at Duck Woods Country Club in Southern Shores. Proceeds from the gala will support Outer Banks Health’s efforts to bring well-being and longevity to the community, noted the event announcement.
“This year’s theme is inspired by the five Blue Zones and the gala will showcase the geographic regions that exhibit longevity, health, and wellness through diverse foods, cultures, and traditions,” stated the announcement. “With an Outer Banks spin on the Blue Zones, the gala will feature live music, dancing, grand decorations and a vast variety of food.”
While sponsorship opportunities and individual tickets are sold out, there are some new additions to the gala in which the community can show support for this cause. A new late-night ticket option is available and grants access to the gala from 9:30 p.m. to midnight. Late-night ticketholders will enjoy food, beverages and mocktails, as well as entertainment and dancing. Tickets are priced at $100 each.
Also available for $100 each are tickets for the Experience a Blue Zone raffle. With only 400 tickets available, one lucky winner will enjoy a five-night Costa Rican vacation to Playa Guiones on the Nicoya Peninsula for two people. The raffle package includes accommodations and round-trip airfare. A raffle ticket does not grant admission to the gala on March 23.
Late-night tickets and Experience a Blue Zone raffle tickets may be purchased at outerbankshealth.org/Gala2024 or by calling 252-449-5933.
