Rosemarie Doshier, broker/owner of The Doshier Team OBX with her daughter Stephanie, has been honored with the prestigious title of “2023 REALTOR® of the Year.” The award was recently presented during the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® Celebration by the Sea at Jennette’s Pier.

“Each year, the Association recognizes a REALTOR® that embodies professionalism through their faithfulness to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Association – a REALTOR® that works for the advancement of the principles of good real estate practice among other Brokers,” stated an OBAR news release. “Nominated by the membership, local Association activity as well as civic, state association and national association involvement are also considered by the selection committee in determining the recipient of the REALTOR® of the Year award.”

This past year, Doshier’s local involvement included chairing the Government Affairs Committee, serving on the Professional Standards Task Force, and participating in numerous other committees and projects, all while serving on the Board of Directors.

“Her unwavering commitment to community service extends beyond the local association,” stated the release. “Rosemarie was also appointed to serve on state and national association committees. Her tireless efforts have made a significant impact on Outer Banks as she has held key leadership positions within the real estate community. Notably, she has twice served as President of the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS®; served as an NC REALTORS® Regional Vice President; led the NC Women’s Council of REALTORS® as President and Regional Vice President; served as Regional Vice President on the national level with an active role in the Residential Real Estate Council (RRC) and the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) programs.”

A REALTOR® since 1987, Doshier was named REALTOR® of the Year in 1995 and received the Career Achievement Award from the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® in 2014.

“It is such an honor to receive this award. I love being a REALTOR®,” said Doshier. “I cherish the opportunity to mentor new agents, and our association’s commitment to community welfare resonates deeply with me. Beyond property transactions, we actively engage in legislative matters that impact property rights and homeownership. This award from the number one REALTOR® Association in the State is truly humbling.”
