Wanchese Christian Academy students highlighted for academic honors, presentations

Wanchese Christian Academy fifth grader Gina Stevens was excited and a little nervous to present her aquatic animal PowerPoint. This research was accompanied by a clay model of her sea turtle. Scholars in the class included the habitat, life cycle, diet, predators and prey of their chosen mammal into each presentation. Wanchese Christian Academy recently celebrated students with both academic accolades from the second quarter as well as student presentations.

Third grade students read from their science “Animal Journals” to tell about their mammals: habitat, eating habits, predators and what they prey upon. “This was Mrs. Misty’s third graders’ first research paper!” noted WCA.

Fifth and sixth grade students presented by way of PowerPoint their aquatic animals with transitions accompanied by ceramic display.

Middle schoolers displayed their puppet scientists with research of how their inventions are still used today.

“Congratulations to all students for their scientific strengths and artistic demonstrations!” stated WCA.

Students earning A Honors are: Jace Simpson, Salter Cordeiro, Zoey Ross, Lexi Midgett, Reef Roche, Meri-Grace Maddox, Bobby Strum, Isla Cordeiro, Mary Grace Strum, Saylor Callum, Noah Cordeiro, Olivia Pettit, Elly Simpson, Kali-Jo Beasley, Madi Lewis and Joshua Pettit.

Students earning AB Honors are: Ryland Daniels-Tillett, Kennedy Daniels, Ethan Perrot, Lily Hooper, Gracelynn Doshier, Alex Stevens, Penelope Wells, Jonah Midgett, Gina Stevens, Layla Gibbs, Bryleigh Payne, Evie McPherson, Ivy Daniels, Daniels Madison and Myles Mann.

Students recognized for perfect attendance are: Annabelle Stevens, Gina Stevens, Harlan Tillett, Nash Mann, Hudson Martin, Lily Hooper, Zoey Ross and Mary Grace Strum.
