Michael Kent Smith, 79, of Kitty Hawk, died April 4, 2024. He was born in Norfolk, Va. on February 24, 1945. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Celebration of life was held April 9. Memorial donations may be made to either the National Park Service, Outer Banks Group (nps.gov/caha/getinvolved/donations.htm) or the American Stroke Association (stroke.org).
