The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a Colington man following a Roanoke Island vehicle breaking and entering.

According to a DCSO news release, on April 14, 2024 at around 11: 57 a.m., the Dare County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a citizen in the area of Chicora Court of Manteo (Roanoke Island) that saw a person leaving the scene of a motor vehicle breaking and entering.

“The citizen provided a description and the direction the suspect went. Deputies and Sheriff’s Office K9 Units searched several areas and located the subject in Manteo,” stated the release.

Alexander Evans Quidley, 31, of Colington, was charged with felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Quidley is currently being held at the Detention Center with no bond.
