Owen M. Strickler Jr., 101, of Emporia, Va., died April 17, 2024 in Nags Head. He was born in Shenandoah, Va. on April 5, 1923. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal service. Private graveside service and inurnment will take place at the Methodist Church Cemetery in Shenandoah, Va. at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Fields United Methodist Church (412 Third St, Shenandoah, VA 22849) or to a charity of one’s choice.
