Fred L. “Buddy” Campbell Jr. died peacefully on May 20, 2024, at the age of 96. He was predeceased by his devoted wife of 66 years, Bertie W. Campbell. Born in Front Royal, Virginia, he was the son of Fred and Lottie Campbell. Buddy was an Army Veteran of WWII and a Member of Churchland Masonic Lodge #276.

He is survived by sisters Harriet and Clara; son, Trey and wife Sharelle; daughter Bertie and husband, Chris; grandchildren Alexander, Benjamin, Morgan, Brianna (Dakota), Taylor, Emily, Noah, Brayden and Bronwyn.

A graveside service with Military Honors and Masonic Rites will be held on May 29, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery by Dr. Dan Koger.
