Wanchese Christian Academy students celebrated the completion of the third quarter of the school with a history-themed awards ceremony. All students added to the event.

First and second graders started by singing “My Country ‘Tis of Thee,” including the pledge to the flag. Third graders portrayed famous Americans in a wax museum. Secondary students conveyed the problem and conclusion to their STEM projects and the original inventors. Fifth-sixth graders had a skit concerning visiting Mt. Rushmore with talking presidents. Kindergarten and preschool students dressed as children from around the world.

“What a great day to celebrate ‘His Story’ at Wanchese Christian Academy,” noted the school.

Students recognized for individual honors were:

A Honor Roll – Bobby Strum, Elly Simpson, Gina Stevens, Isla Cordeiro, Jace Simpson, Joshua Pettit, Kali-Jo Beasley, Lexi Midgett, Mary Grace Strum, Meri-Grace Maddox, Noah Cordeiro, Olivia Pettit, Penelope Wells, Reef Roche, Ryland Daniels Tillett, Salter Cordeiro, Saylor Callum and Zoey Ross.

AB Honor Roll – Alex Stevens, Bryleigh Payne, Ethan Perrot, Gracelynn Doshier, Jonah Midgett, Kennedy Daniels, Layla Gibbs, Lily Hooper, Madi Lewis and Vela Grace Etheridge.

Perfect Attendance – Ethan Perrot, Gina Stevens, Joshua Pettit, Lexi Midgett, Madi Lewis and Scarlett Vasquez.
