Kill Devil Hills, NC – William Conrad Weltman Jr., age 98, of Kill Devil Hills, NC died on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Brookdale Assisted Living. Born in Springfield, Missouri on September 24, 1925 to the late Velma Mary Jahnke Weltman and William Conrad Weltman Sr., he was the husband of the late Betty J. Weltman and the late Marjorie Wallace Weltman.

Conrad joined the U.S. Army Air Corps and was an Engineer in the Manufacturing industry.  He belonged to the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Outer Banks Repeater Association.

He is survived by two daughters, Ruth Foy (Eddie) of MD and Martha Windram (Tom) of Elizabeth City, NC; one son, William Conrad Weltman III (Cindy) of PA; four grandchildren, Adam Windram, Laura Burris (Carl), William Weltman (Meghan), and Jim Weltman (Melanie); and two great grandchildren Connor Weltman and Clara Weltman.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Marianne Weltman and a brother, Roger Weltman.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Nags Head Woods Preserve, 701 Ocean Acres Drive, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948 or Carnegie Mellon University at 5000 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
