Johnnie Mack Ruffin Jr.

Johnnie Mack Ruffin Jr., 63, of Plymouth died Saturday, October 20 at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.

Born May 12, 1955 in Nash County, Johnnie worked shift maintenance with Weyerhaeuser and Domtar Corporation, a member of Perseverance Lodge No. 59 of Plymouth, a Shriner and a hunter.

Survivors include mother Jeanette Gay Ruffin of Williamston, father Johnnie Mack Ruffin Sr. and wife Jeannie of Rocky Mount, wife Renette Leary Ruffin of Plymouth, daughter Michele Phelps of Merry Hill, sons Tommy Ruffin and wife Tracey of Kittrell and Joe Ruffin of Williamston, sister Lori Edmondson and brother Alan Dunn, both of Rocky Mount and grandchildren Karli Ruffin, Karsyn Ruffin and J.T. Ruffin.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 23 at 2 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth with Jared Snell and Thomas Patrick officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home. Flowers welcome or donations may be made to Oxford Orphanage.
