Ian Cheyne Scarborough

Ian Cheyne Scarborough, age 40, passed peacefully on June 12, 2025 at the home of his mother after a long, brave battle with brain cancer. He was born September 30, 1984 in Pasquotank County, NC.

Ian was an avid surfer, skateboarder and loved the outdoors. He deeply loved his family and especially his bull terrier, Rekza. Ian was a native of the Outer Banks and worked in the HVAC trade.

He is survived by his mother, Christina Strayer of Beaufort, NC, brothers Skylar Scarborough of Chesapeake, VA and Robbie Scarborough of Currituck, NC, sisters Natalie Scarborough of Currituck NC, Haley Noble of Fountain, CO and Allie Allen of Beaufort, NC, and stepmother Dana Scarborough of Currituck, NC. Ian was preceded in death by his father Robert Scarborough Jr. of Duck, NC and his brother Joseph Noble of Kitty Hawk.

The family gives a special thanks to everyone that gave their love and support to Ian.

A private service to honor Ian will be held.
