Vicki Daniels Simpson

May 17, 1959 – November 10, 2018

Wanchese – Vicki Daniels Simpson, 59, of Wanchese died Saturday, November 10 surrounded by family at her home.

A native of Wanchese, she was the daughter of Merle Wescott Daniels and the late Jimmie Tucker Daniels.

A member of Wanchese of Assembly of God, Vicki was faithful to her church and served her community through various missions. She was a devoted wife, mother to many, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her mother, Vicki is survived by her husband, Rex Edward Simpson; two daughters, Meri Hannah East (Josh) and Melissa Christine Dejarnette (Shelby); two sons, Rex Ezekiel Simpson (Tiffany) and Ivey Tucker Simpson; five grandchildren, Ellyssa Mae and Jace Austin Simpson, Caleb Zion East, Oma Joy and Ivy Lynn Daniels; four sisters, Debbie Keel (Paul), Lori Ricotta (Gilbert), Lenie Taylor (Tom) and Lou Ellen Quinn (Syd); and many special nieces and nephews. Vicki loved her family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 15 at Wanchese Assembly of God. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church one hour prior to the service. Private burial will take place at Cudworth Cemetery.
