Margaret Elizabeth Ellis Coolidge, 87, of Kitty Hawk, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the Outer Banks Hospital, Nags Head. She was born July 20, 1930, in the Bronx, New York and was the daughter of the late Margaret E. Montgomery and Harold W. Ellis.

Margaret is survived by four children: Cathleen Parker of Woodbury, New York, Lynn Anne Coolidge of Mastic Beach, New York, Jennifer Coolidge (William Varley) of Fredericksburg, Virginia and J. Christopher Coolidge of Airville, Pennsylvania. Margaret had 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Margaret is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Peet of Kitty Hawk.

In keeping with Margaret’s wishes, there will be a graveside service in New York, details for which are being finalized. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Margaret’s name to Dare Hospice, PO Box 669, Manteo, NC 27954 or the Kitty Hawk Fire and Rescue, PO Box 207, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949.
