Kill Devil Hills issues dog license reminder

The Town of Kill Devil Hills has issued a reminder that a 2019 dog license is required for each canine over four months of age that a resident owns.
Each pet’s license must be renewed each January. Cost of each individual Kill Devil Hills dog license is:
• $5 per dog (if not spayed or neutered)
• $2.50 per dog (if spayed or neutered)
Registration forms are available from the cashier at Town Hall.
The procedure for obtaining a Kill Devil Hills dog license include:
1. Visit the cashier window on the second floor of the Town Hall, 102 Town Hall Drive, off Colington Road, with the following information: a completed registration form; rabies certificate; proof of spaying/neutering; cash, credit card, check or money order for the application fee.
2. Mail the following information to the Kill Devil Hills Finance Department, P.O. Box 1719, KDH, NC 27948: completed registration form; copy of rabies certificate; proof of spaying/neutering; check or money order for the application fee; self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) for the tag can be mailed to you.

Residents are reminded that pet owners must also obtain a Dare County dog license, which requires payment of a separate fee. Information for that license is available at the Dare County website: https://www.darenc.com/how-do-i-/apply/dog-license.
