First Flight athletes won 14 of 24 events at a Last Chance Polar Bear Meet on Jan. 29 at the Northeastern High School Track in Elizabeth City to win both boys and girls meets.
Polar Bear track meets are outdoor events held during the traditional indoor track season when indoor facilities are not available.
Dominating the relays and distance events, First Flight girls swept the first three places in both the 1600 and the 1000 to win their six-team meet with 113 points, well ahead of Northeastern’s second place total of 57 points.
