Sign up for Block Play Extravaganza in Buxton

Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County’s Block Play Extravaganza on Hatteras Island is coming up.

The extravaganza is taking place on Thursday, March 28 at the Fessenden Center in Buxton.

Experience the fun of math and science learning through block play during this interactive building extravaganza for parents and children eight months to five years of age.

Block Play Extravaganza provides parents and young children a hands-on learning laboratory to interact and gain understanding of the math and science concepts learned through block play. Early childhood educators from Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County will be available to demonstrate techniques that can help parents maximize a child’s learning.

At the Fessenden Center, sessions are available Thursday, March 28, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.; 3 to 4 p.m.; and 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.

Sessions fill up quickly. Pre-registration is required by contacting Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County at 441-0614. This is a free family event.
